For the second year, here is the Casey Station resupply timelapse, in Antarctica.
Just a quick little request for those who have an Instagram account, Follow me!
Here are a few of the latest posts:
📷🐘 Elephant Seals. Browning Peninsula, Antarctica. I found these guys again this year down at their landing spot on the coast. They hang on the rocks all day and sleep, looking so relaxed. They only move to reshuffle and occasionally yawn like in this image. Such gentle giants on land. Probably killers in the water. #aad #antarctica #antarctic #adventure #earth #explore #expedition #exploration #travel #photography #photo #life #nature #wildlifephotography #world #wildlife #seal #elephantseal #globalwarming #climatechange #canon @canonaustralia @bestintravel @lonelyplanet @natgeotravel @natgeo #canonaustralia
I have so many photos of Adélie Penguins it’s becoming a problem. I don’t have enough time to go through the Gigabites of photo files of these guys. They are comical on land, majestic in the water and sometimes fly through the air.
And yet, i can’t get enough of them.
It’s happening again. I’ve made the trip down to Casey Station for another summer in Antarctica.
We flew down a few days ago on a government Airbus A319. From Hobart to Wilkins Aerodrome, 70 kms from Casey. Inside, it’s not your usual commercial airplane. Some seats are missing for more moving around room, the cockpit is open and you can go hang out with the pilots and 40 minutes from landing on the ice we put on our full survival gear ready to step out into -15c degree temperatures.
Adelaide had a reason to be afraid yet again this Halloween. This years pre City Dirt Jam was my first time going, and it was pretty much all the hype i’d heard and more. Much more. There was a few crazy things done on the bikes and everyone got a good ride in before the rain came after dark. That didn’t stop the party as everyone there had come in a Halloween spirit.
I’ll let the photographs do the talking…
For the second year in a row i went over to Adelaide for the Halloween weekend of BMX festivities. There was the Chief Street Halloween party jam on the Friday night, City Dirt’s ‘Almost-Octoberfest’ Jam on the Saturday and Nathan Parker’s Jam at his ‘Herm Trails’ spot north of the city. It was all time, action packed and fun as anything.
Here are a selection of my favorite photos from Saturday at City Dirt.
A big thanks to all the riders who killed it and showed us what it’s like to fly all weekend.
The final photo dump from Australia’s Northwest.
It’s been a journey, with a start, and soon an end. With loads of variety, we’ve enjoyed our time there. Here’s to a new start and a great life, continued onwards and upwards. Cheers.
