The last two years.

Right. I have 63 photos to show you that haven’t made it onto this webpage yet. They are either forgotten images, they didn’t make the cut at the time or they have been put up elsewhere and never made it here. I will be dumping 10 or so images at a time untill i have the full 63 uploaded. This will give you a good flow of pictures for the week or whatever. I’ll try to give a title or description on each photo so you have an idea about it, or some backstory to ‘paint’ a better picture in your head. They are all from my time in North Western Australia over the Last two years. Mostly the Pilbara and a couple from Exmouth. Enjoy…

Jake and Brad, Ktown Dirt.

Here is another image dump from the Ktown trails. This time Jake came along to ride with Brad and again i saw some talent go down. A couple of firsts at these trails that arvo, a backflip from Brad and Jake got the 360 tailwhip happening.

Karratha dirtjumps

These set of dirt jumps, built over a year ago now, have been fixed up and been running pretty good recently. I’ve been down with Brad taking some pictures of him on his bike. He’s a pretty talented rider and dedicated to digging and riding while in town, so i’ll be down there taking a lot more photos for sure.ktowndirt_bmx_b&w_jump_jan13_webres ktowndirt_bmx_nofootcan_jump_jan13_webres ktowndirt_bmx_superman2_jump_jan13_webres ktowndirt_bmx_turndown_jump_jan13_webres ktowndirt_bmx_superman1_jump_jan13_webres ktowndirt_bmx_jump_jan13_webres ktowndirt_bradlegs_webres ktowndirt_brad360_webres

Roebourne Regional Prison Footy Team

A couple of months ago i spent a weekend taking photos of a Aussie Rules footy competition in Roebourne for the local paper. It was part of the NAIDOC festival, organised by the Ngarluma Yindjibarndi Foundation. The teams were all local or from close towns. I shot all saturday and Sunday, but it wasn’t until part way through Sunday that i was informed that the guys in yellow with RRP written on their backs are from the prison. I was advised by one of the guards. He approached me and said that i shouldn’t take their photo for privacy reasons. By this time i had a few hundred shots. So stopped with them, and focused on other teams. It wasn’t a problem. I moved on.

I’ve wondered about uploading these images for a while, and can’t see a issue. But for their privacy, which i respect, i have blurred out any of their faces in these shots. What do you think? Did i need too? The paper ended up printing a spread of my images from the weekend but i didn’t submit the ones below as i feel they have a different story to what the paper needed.

They can’t sit in storage without being seen. This is the place for them. So, here you go.

Miaree pools bmx jump

Last weekend a couple of friends built a dirt jump out at Miaree Pools, near Karratha, Western Australia. At the time it was too soft to jump so they went back this weekend to hit it up and i came along for some shots. Here are a few from the day, all up it was a great day of bikes, sun and some spills. With the temp up around 39 degrees it was well worth getting wet.
